CCIF committees provide a means to develop strategies and actions on key issues. Volunteers are selected to join committees based on their interest level and knowledge of the issue, their commitment to regular attendance at CCIF and their willingness to actively participate in the committee meetings and conference calls.

At each CCIF meeting, committees report on their progress since the last meeting and outline their next steps. They invite CCIF participants to attend their committee’s “break-out” session later in the meeting to gain their input on the subject at hand and to get direction for the “next steps”.

Through committee work and attendance at break-out sessions, participants broaden their understanding of the issues affecting their business, picking up new ideas and knowledge, as well as sharing their views with others. Committee work can be enriching and directly beneficial, as participants relate “big picture” industry issues to their own situation.
